Choreographer I Movement Coach I Dance TeacheR
based in berlin
I believe in oneness, diversity, and dance as the language of the infinite.
Movement as Medicine. Dance as Language. Now as Power.
With a background shaped by over two decades of creation and collaboration, my work flows between choreography, artistic direction, teaching and movement coaching.
In my choreographic work, I explore the balance between shared unity and individual presence—how each body can speak, respond, and belong through movement. In guiding others, I offer space for awareness and transformation through the body, inviting people to arrive fully in the present moment and their bodies, where true expression begins.
Yoga is part of how I move through the world. It’s not separate from how I create, teach, or relate. Breath, awareness, and grounding are present in everything I offer—on stage and beyond.
Over time, this integration gave rise to BUDY Flow—a movement practice that emerged naturally through lived experience. Rooted in dance, yoga, and breathwork, it invites a deeper connection with the body and enhances the quality of movement from within.

About Brigitte Breternitz
Choreographer, Dancer, Movement Coach, and Creator of BUDY Flow
Brigitte Breternitz is a choreographer, stage director, dancer, and movement coach with over 25 years of experience in the performing arts. Her work bridges the worlds of contemporary dance, stage performance, and movement training, with a focus on artistic collaboration and physical awareness.
As the founder of MADCITY Cologne, a well-known dance studio for urban and contemporary styles, and CEO & choreographer for the agency PAKAMELE, Brigitte led numerous national and international projects—working across theater, television, fashion, and film. Her choreographic style is defined by clarity, strong visual language, and an intuitive approach to movement.
In 2015, she stepped away from studio ownership to dedicated time to studying movement practices in India. Since then, she has regularly returned to collaborate with artists and deepen her understanding of body-based training methods, including yoga and somatic dance techniques.
In 2021, Brigitte relocated to Berlin to build new creative networks. Together with artist and singer Alice Francis, she co-founded the artist agency TÄEM TÄEM TALENTS, and started teaching at Motion*s Tanz- und Bewegungsstudio Berlin. With her performance collective The NOWbodies, she develops immersive and site-specific dance theater works in collaboration with other creatives.
Her long-standing love for Argentine Tango also led her to develop SoloTango Flow—a contemporary and unbound tango fusion that explores the essence of tango through solo movement, improvisation, and personal expression.
Brigitte’s experience in both performance and education led her to develop BUDY Flow—a movement method that combines elements of dance, yoga and guided movement research to support a more precise and expressive dance. It is designed to improve body awareness and enhance physical presence for dancers and non-dancers alike.
She regularly teaches workshops, retreats, and teacher trainings across Europe, working with performers, creatives, and movement professionals who seek to develop their skills, deepen their understanding of movement, and unlock new artistic perspectives.
